What is Deal Desk 365?

Updated September 15, 2026

Deal Desk 365 makes quoting in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales fast, consistent, and governed: build a sectioned quote from a reusable template in minutes, see margin as you discount, and route below-floor discounts for approval without leaving Sales.

What Sales gives you out of the box

Out of the box, Sales gives you a flat quote grid: no templates, no section grouping, no line reordering, no bulk entry, basic pricing, and no native discount approval. Deal Desk 365 adds those pieces, right on the quote form and in one model-driven app.

How it works

  1. An Administrator publishes quote templates and defines pricing rules and approval policies once.
  2. A Seller starts a quote, applies a template, and adjusts quantities and discounts in the quote line editor while cost and margin update live. Any line below its floor is flagged before submit.
  3. On submit, a quote inside the guardrails can go straight through; anything over the allowed discount routes to an approver team and locks. An Approver decides from a single screen, and the seller generates the quote document.

What it is, and what it is not

What it is: quote assembly and discount approval for Dynamics 365 Sales.

What it is not: a product configurator. Deal Desk 365 does not do constraint solving, guided selling, or product-compatibility rules. It also does not do e-signature, subscription billing, contract redlining, or revenue recognition; it works alongside the tools that do.

Requirements

Deal Desk 365 extends Dynamics 365 Sales, so Sales must be installed in the environment. Everyone who uses the app needs a Deal Desk 365 license in addition to their Sales license. See Requirements and licensing.
