To add many lines at once, use bulk line entry and paste rows straight from a spreadsheet. Deal Desk 365 matches each row to a catalog product and reports back any row it could not match, so nothing is silently lost.
Paste rows
- Open bulk line entry from the quote line editor.
- Paste your rows: a product identifier and a quantity, plus an optional discount.
- Deal Desk 365 matches each row on product number first, then product name, and adds the matched lines to the quote.
- Any row it could not match is reported back to you, never silently dropped, so you can fix the identifier and paste again.
Tips
- Product numbers match more reliably than names. If your spreadsheet has both, keep the number column.
- Pasted lines are priced like any other line: cost and margin are computed and floor checks apply as soon as they land. See See margin as you discount.
- Rows are matched only against active products in your catalog. A retired product number is reported as unmatched.
