DEAL DESK 365 · FOR DYNAMICS 365 SALES

Quotes that used to take a day now take minutes.

Deal Desk 365 turns quote assembly and discount approval into a fast, governed workflow right inside Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales — with no separate CPQ system to buy, learn, or integrate.

Installs in your own tenant · No separate CPQ · Layers on standard Sales pricing · Microsoft Partner

Deal Desk 365 quote line editor on a Dynamics 365 Sales quote form: a 40-line quote built from a template, grouped into sections, with cost, margin and discount columns visible on every line
— The problem

Dynamics 365 Sales quoting hasn't moved in years

Microsoft has pointed customers at partner CPQ since 2019, and the last published Sales roadmap contains zero quote or pricing items. Out of the box that leaves sellers with a flat quote grid: no quote template, no section grouping, no line reordering, no bulk line entry, basic pricing only, and no native discount approval.

So quotes take a day, arrive inconsistent, and go out the door with discounts nobody signed off on — because the fastest path is the one that skips the check.

Dynamics 365 Sales quoting, out of the box
  • No quote templates
  • No section grouping
  • No line reordering
  • No bulk line entry
  • Basic pricing only
  • No native discount approval

Sales gives you a flat quote grid. Deal Desk 365 gives you the pieces sellers actually reach for.

— The solution

Deal Desk 365 adds the missing quoting layer, inside the Sales you already run

Build a sectioned quote from a reusable template in minutes. As sellers discount, cost and margin update on every line, so they see the impact before they commit to it. Pricing rules set floor price, maximum discount, and minimum margin — and a quote that drops below floor can't be sent without triggering approval. Approvers decide from a single screen with the margin impact in view.

It assembles and approves quotes. It is not a product configurator: there is no constraint solver, no guided selling, and no rules engine over product compatibility — that is deliberately out of scope.

Reusable quote templates

Build a 40-line, sectioned quote from a saved template in under three minutes. Templates are versioned: publishing a new version never rewrites quotes already sent.

Sections, grouping, and reordering

Organize lines the way the customer reads them, in a keyboard-navigable line editor right on the quote form.

Live margin as you discount

Cost and margin recompute on every line change, so sellers see the impact of a discount before they commit, not after.

Price floors and discount governance

Effective-dated pricing rules set floor price, maximum discount, and minimum margin by product, product family, customer segment, or region. Floor breaches are flagged inline, before submit.

Built-in discount approval

Policies route to the right approver, escalate on a timer, and record an immutable decision history. The quote locks while a decision is pending.

Single-screen approver experience

Approvers approve or reject from one view with the full margin impact visible. They never learn a new app.

Bulk line entry from Excel

Paste rows and match on product number first, then name. Unmatched rows are reported, never silently dropped.

Branded quote documents

Generate a quote document from a Word template, entirely in your tenant. The customer gets a consistent, branded quote every time.

— How it works

Three steps from guardrails to a sent quote

Sales ops sets the rules once. Sellers keep quoting in the Sales app they already use, and an approval happens only when a quote needs one.

01.

Set the guardrails once

Sales ops publishes reusable quote templates and defines pricing rules (floor price, max discount, min margin) and approval policies (who signs off, and when). All of it lives in the same app.

02.

Build and price in minutes

A seller starts a quote, applies a template, and gets a sectioned, reorderable line set. As they adjust quantities and discounts, cost and margin update live, and any line below its floor is flagged right there in the editor.

03.

Submit, approve, send

A within-guardrails quote can go straight through; anything below floor routes for approval automatically and locks against edits. The approver decides from a single screen, the quote unlocks, and a branded document is generated from the Word template.

— See it in action

The quote form, with the pieces Sales left out

Everything happens on the Dynamics 365 Sales quote form and in one approvals view. No second system, no second login.

— Why Deal Desk 365

Nothing new to buy, learn, or integrate

No separate CPQ to buy, learn, or integrate

Deal Desk 365 lives inside the Sales app your team already uses. The only prerequisite is Dynamics 365 Sales.

Your data stays in your tenant

Deal Desk 365 installs into your own Dynamics 365 environment. Nothing phones home, and there is no Craftware-hosted data store.

Extends Sales, doesn't replace it

It adds its own tables and a quote form without editing Microsoft's, and it layers on top of standard Dynamics 365 pricing rather than taking it over.

Built by a Microsoft Partner

From the Craftware team behind Fleet Service 365, Job Margin 365, and AwarePCF, all on Microsoft AppSource.

— Pricing

One plan, simple per-user pricing, with a 30-day free trial

Start on Microsoft AppSource. Billing runs through your Microsoft account, alongside your other Dynamics 365 subscriptions.

Deal Desk 365 · Named user
$41 per user / month

Named user, billed month-to-month in US dollars.

or $408 per user / year

Billed annually, about 17% less than monthly. Ten-seat minimum on either billing term.

  • 30-day free trial on Microsoft AppSource, in your own tenant.
  • One plan, three roles. A single license gives a user access to the app; what they can do — build quotes (Seller), approve them (Approver), or configure the desk's pricing rules, approval policies, and templates (Administrator) — is a security-role assignment your admin makes, not a separate license. Roles stack: assign one, two, or all three.
  • Every user of the app needs a license, whichever role they hold.
  • Prerequisite: Dynamics 365 Sales must be installed. A base Dynamics 365 or Sales license is required in addition to Deal Desk 365.
  • Larger teams: volume pricing is available. Contact sales.

Deal Desk 365: FAQs

  • Do I need a separate CPQ system?

No. Deal Desk 365 adds quoting, pricing governance, and discount approval directly inside Dynamics 365 Sales. There is nothing separate to buy, learn, or integrate.

  • Is this a product configurator?

No. Deal Desk 365 assembles and approves quotes. It does not do constraint solving, guided selling, or product-compatibility rules. That is a different and much larger category, and it is deliberately out of scope.

  • Does it replace Dynamics 365 pricing?

No. It layers on top of standard Sales pricing and is opt-in per price list, so it governs only the price lists you designate and never touches the rest.

  • Where does my data live?

In your own Dynamics 365 environment. The app installs into your tenant as a managed solution and transmits no customer data to Craftware. Your quotes, pricing, and approvals never leave your tenant.

  • Does it change Microsoft's Sales tables?

No. It adds its own tables and columns, and surfaces them on its own copies of the standard forms: a Deal Desk quote form with the line editor, plus a Deal Desk tab on the Product, Account, and Price List forms. Microsoft's components are never modified, so Sales updates continue to apply as normal.

  • What's the difference between the roles?

Seller, Approver, and Administrator are three security roles on the one license, not separate plans. Sellers build and submit quotes; Approvers decide on submitted quotes; Administrators set up the desk's pricing rules, approval policies, and templates without needing to be a Power Platform System Administrator. Roles stack: a sales-ops lead who also builds quotes gets Administrator plus Seller.

  • Can it handle multiple currencies?

Yes. Margin is computed in each quote's currency, using the exchange rates you already maintain in Dynamics 365.

  • How much does Deal Desk 365 cost?

US$41 per named user per month billed month-to-month, or US$408 per named user per year billed annually, which is about 17% less. There is a ten-seat minimum, and every user of the app needs a license. Volume pricing is available for larger teams. It starts with a 30-day free trial on Microsoft AppSource, and you also need a base Dynamics 365 Sales license.
