What is Job Margin 365?

Updated September 9, 2026

Job Margin 365 answers one question for every Dynamics 365 Field Service work order: did this job make money? It does that without an ERP integration, Power BI, or Microsoft Fabric.

How it works

You set up rate cards that hold your loaded labor costs. As work orders are completed, Job Margin 365 works out the cost, revenue, and margin on each job, covering labor, materials, overhead, and any warranty recovery, and rolls those numbers up to your agreements so you can see which contracts are profitable and which are not.

What it is, and what it is not

What it is: margin and profitability reporting for Field Service.

What it is not: accounting. Job Margin 365 does not do invoicing, accounts payable or receivable, tax, or the general ledger. Those stay in your existing finance system. Job Margin 365 reads your costs and reports margin.

Requirements

Job Margin 365 extends Dynamics 365 Field Service, so Field Service must be installed in the environment. Everyone who uses the app needs a Job Margin 365 license in addition to their Field Service license. See Requirements and licensing.
